Amusements
Ocean City is a play land by the shore for fun-seekers of every stripe. Get your thrills on at the Inlet roller coaster at Jolly Roger on the Pier. The open-air amusement park features scads of rides and games of chance while barkers vie to guess your weight and age. It's good fun for all ages-the little ones may enjoy a haunted house ride and dune buggy in the midst of the fresh sea air. Bigger kids, and you kids-at-heart take on Crazy Dance, the Vortex, and the legendary Slingshot. It's an annual tradition to take a twirl on the tallest Ferris wheel in town. Enjoy panoramic views of Ocean City Island tucked between her sparkling bays and the deep, blue sea.
Arcades
Arcades are another popular pastime during strolls on the Boardwalk. Old-fashioned favorites like Skee Ball, air hockey and pinball can be found alongside casino games, motorcycle video races and dance machines. And turning in win-tickets for prizes makes for good, cheap fun!
Imagine all this amidst sweet views of the ocean!
Berlin
Travel back into the past with a stroll down Main Street in Berlin, Maryland (about 7 miles from Ocean City). Victorian architecture, federal era structures and wending, tree-lined streets characterize the charm of the town. The downtown is on the National Register of Historic Places and has a turn-of-the-century flavor. Go antiquing, stop in for tea, and rock on the porch of the historic Atlantic Hotel. Check out the Globe Theatre for fine foods, beverages and entertainment. If you've seen the movies Runaway Bride and Tuck Everlasting, you'll recognize unique Berlin; they were filmed here. The sleepy town has become such a nexus of artistic activity with its wealth of galleries and shops that Berlin has been named an "Arts and Entertainment District".
Frontier Town
Step out of Ocean City and into the Wild West! Frontiertown is a Western theme park complete with horse and pony shows, horseback trail rides, a Can Can show and live entertainment all day long. Shows, shops and concessions are all in a replica of a town from the Old Wild West. Frontiertown also has its own water park with water slides, lazy river, giant fun pool and mini golf. Frontiertown is a popular family destination that also has its own campgrounds. About 4 miles from Ocean City, on the way to Assateague.
Go Carts
Ocean City has the largest go-kart complex on the East Coast at the 36 acre Jolly Roger Amusement Park. Imagine, on our little Island! If you like Go Karts, or if you just want to try it, Ocean City has the best. The family can challenge their skills while they vie for unforgettable bragging rights.
Ice Skating
There's something magical about ice skating in the summertime. The Carousel Hotel ice rink will have you in skates and twirling, just by the beach! Rentals, concessions, a full service restaurant and bar are all part of the experience, where anyone can slap on some skates and enjoy the music after a hot day on the boards.
Miniature Golf
Mini golf, or putt putt, abounds in Ocean City. For a family outing or friendly wager consider a game of skill and luck on a little island oasis. You'll find a wide variety of courses: How about burning tiki torches, fire breathing dragons and volcano eruptions? Or Vikings, mermaids and sharks? Medieval knights and jousting horses are part of play, as well as evil aliens and pirate ships. You may prefer a gentle stroll through tropical plants and waterfalls-where even the local ducks take their afternoons. An indoor course is great option for a rainy day.
Night Life
Much of Ocean City nightlife is characterized by deck bars on the water and barefoot frolics at sandy beach and bay bars. Kick off your flip flops and enjoy the island grooves while lights twinkle on the tides. A dozen hotels have private beaches dotted with tiki bars and live music under the stars-and are always open to the public for drinks. Marina bars may sit on a gazebo in the Inlet waters, on sandy beaches on the bay, or deckside-perfect for watching the boats float in.
Water Parks
Ocean City has plenty more ways to get wet than the ocean-and a whole lot of fun ways, too! Spend the day on a lazy river, in a wave pool or by a waterfall gazebo. Drop the 45 foot half-pipe slide, log flume and the water roller coaster-and hold on to your heart! Ocean City boasts the largest water park on Delmarva, along with full service, easy parking and unlimited wristband access. Several waterslide parks dot the Island with plentiful activities for every age and budget.
